If you've been curious about sound bath meditation but aren't sure what to expect, you're not alone. It's one of the most common things first-timers ask me before booking. The good news? A sound bath is one of the most accessible, gentle, and deeply relaxing experiences available. No experience, special skills, or spiritual background required.
Here's everything you need to know before you arrive.
What Is a Sound Bath?
A sound bath is a guided meditation experience where the soothing tones of crystal singing bowls wash over you, inviting your body and mind into a state of deep relaxation. You simply lie down, close your eyes, and let the sound do the rest.
The vibrations of the crystal bowls are known to support deep relaxation and stress relief, emotional release and inner calm, mental clarity and renewed focus, and a restored sense of peace and balance.
No meditation experience is necessary. If you can lie still and breathe, you're already prepared.
Where Are Sessions Held on Long Island?

Healing Long Island offers intimate crystal bowl sound bath sessions in two beautiful settings throughout the summer:
Commack Garden Sanctuary — Sandra's private backyard garden in Commack, NY. A peaceful, enclosed outdoor space surrounded by nature, quiet, grounding, and serene.
Long Beach Sands — On the beach in Long Beach, NY, with the sound of the ocean as your backdrop and the open sky above you. There is truly nothing like hearing crystal bowls by the water.
Both locations are designed to hold up to 10 guests, keeping each session intimate and community-connected.
What Should I Bring?
Very little, which is part of what makes a sound bath so easy to attend.
Commack Garden sessions: Zero gravity chairs are provided, or opt for the outdoor couches, and dress comfortably for the weather.
Long Beach beach sessions: Bring a beach chair or blanket. Comfortable, casual clothing works perfectly.
Sandra provides the crystal singing bowls, the space, optional eye masks, and the guidance. You simply show up and receive.
What's the Schedule?
The 2026 Sound Healing Summer Series runs on Sunday evenings from 6–7pm. Plan to arrive 5–10 minutes early so you can settle in, find your spot, and transition from your day into a more relaxed state before the session begins.

Summer Series Dates:
June 7 ~ Commack Garden
June 14 ~ Long Beach
July 12 ~ Commack Garden
July 19 ~ Long Beach
August 16 ~ Commack Garden
August 23 ~ Long Beach
Sessions are $33 per person.
A Note About Parking at Long Beach
Long Beach is a beautiful location, but street parking can be limited depending on the time of year and weather. Please plan to arrive a little earlier than usual and allow extra time to find parking as there is no dedicated lot for the beach access point used for sessions.
Sandra will personally text registered guests their exact beach location the day of the event, so you'll know exactly where to go once you arrive.
How Long Does a Session Last?
Each session is one hour. From start to finish, plan to dedicate about 75 minutes total to allow for arrival, settling in, the full session, and a few quiet moments afterward to reorient before heading home.
What Will I Feel Afterward?
Most guests leave feeling refreshed, relaxed, and noticeably lighter — as if something they'd been carrying has gently lifted. Many describe it as the most deeply restful hour they've had in weeks.
First-timers are often surprised by how quickly the body responds to sound. You don't need to do anything. You don't need to think the right thoughts or breathe in a specific way. The bowls meet you exactly where you are.
Is a Sound Bath Right for Everyone?
Sound baths are gentle and widely accessible. However, they are not recommended for individuals with epilepsy or metal implants such as a pacemaker. If you have any concerns, please consult your healthcare provider before attending.
Bring Your Group

Sound baths are also available as private experiences for groups, wellness events, team-building gatherings, birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties, and special occasions throughout Long Island. Sandra brings the crystal bowls to your location — indoors or outdoors — creating a peaceful, restorative experience for your guests.
Private group sessions are available year-round. Contact Sandra to discuss your date, group size, and location.
Ready to Experience Your First Sound Bath on Long Island?
Spots are intentionally limited to keep each session intimate. If you've been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or simply in need of a reset. This is your invitation to pause, breathe, and let the sound carry you somewhere peaceful.
