If you've been exploring holistic healing, you may have come across both Reiki and Integrated Energy Therapy (IET) and wondered what the difference is and which one is right for you.
It's actually one of the questions I hear most often from clients, and I love answering it because both modalities are beautiful in their own way.
What is Reiki?

Reiki is a gentle, Japanese energy healing practice that works with the body's natural energy centers, known as chakras, to restore balance, calm the nervous system, and promote deep relaxation. Think of it as a reset button for your body and mind.
During a Reiki session, I hover my hands above the body, channeling healing energy to the main energy centers of the body, the chakras. Clients often leave feeling deeply relaxed, grounded, and renewed, like a weight has been lifted.
Reiki is a wonderful starting point for anyone new to energy healing, and it's also deeply beneficial for those dealing with stress, anxiety, overwhelm, or simply needing a moment of stillness in a busy life.
What is Integrated Energy Therapy (IET)?
Integrated Energy Therapy goes a little deeper. While Reiki focuses on balancing the body's energy centers, IET works specifically to release trauma, emotional pain, and suppressed feelings that have become imprinted in the body over time.

We all carry things like grief, fear, anger, and old wounds that don't just live in our minds. They live in our bodies too. IET works gently with specific cellular memory areas to help release those stored emotions, creating space for healing, freedom, and renewal. IET uses light touch and focused intention.
IET is supported by angelic energy and is particularly powerful for those who feel emotionally stuck, are processing grief or loss, or sense there is something deeper they are ready to release.
So Which One is Right for You?
Here's a simple way to think about it. If you're feeling stressed, anxious, or out of balance, Reiki is a beautiful place to start. If you're feeling emotionally stuck, carrying old wounds, or ready to release something deeper, IET may be exactly what your soul is calling for. And honestly, many of my clients experience both over time and find they beautifully complement each other.
Both are gentle. Both are powerful. And both meet you exactly where you are.
If you're not sure which session is right for you, feel free to reach out. I'm always happy to chat and help you find the right fit.
